I took this same route my first year at Western, just by chance. I had always wanted to do it again but never got the chance until this year. Basically all the pictures were taken on the passes going over from Lake City to Silverton - namely Cinnamon and Engineer passes - with a couple of Cottonwood Pass thrown in for good measure.
