Objective

To make use of my hard working attitude and strong work ethic, coupled with my wide range of experience with a variety of programming languages to accomplish the goals and projects that are asked of me in the work place.

Work Experience

I am currently working for Agency Technology where I have been employeed since June of 2007. It is my first job in the industry for which I went to college. The projects that I am currently working on include a profile application that keeps track of addresses, emails, and personal information, as well as an administration application that allows different accounts to be customizable as every company's requirements are different. I have also written a synchronization program that synchronizes that information with other offsite services for travel booking purposes. This synchronization program is written in Visual Basic and its tasks are accomplished via XML and SOAP transactions.

The highlights of my web based profile tool are encryption of credit cards numbers, profile creation and authentication, password retrieval, email notifications, live updating of all profile information, protection against cross-site scripting, database design relating to profile and user information, and many other features that make use of the Ruby on Rails (RoR) framework.

Skills

In college, my first classes in programming were in C++ and later Java. Later I became more involved with Web Development which is the area that I wanted to focus on when I graduated. Now that I am a professional web developer working mostly in Ruby On Rails, but also proficient in JavaScript, XHMTL, and Ajax, I divide my time between upgrading and adding onto the web based application that I am currently working on, and the back end synchronization program that updates and pushed around the various bits of data to offsite web services. These projects make use of all my skill sets from programming in raw HTML, JavaScript, and XML, to writing and re-factoring code written Visual Basic.
